Board of Elections
The Board of Supervisors of Election shall consist of three members who shall be appointed by the Town Council on or before the first Monday in July. The terms of members of the Board of Supervisors of Election begin on the first Monday in July in the year in which they are appointed and run for two years. Members of the Board shall be qualified voters of the Town and shall not hold or be candidates for any elective office during their terms in office. The Board shall appoint one of its members as Chairman. Vacancies on the Board shall be filled by the Councilpersons consent for the remainder of the unexpired term.

Denton Town Council Elections UpdateÂ
The Denton Town Elections were held on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024. Voting began promptly at 7:00 AM and was held until 8:00 PM. This year residents voted to fill one position on the Town Council.
355 Resident’s came to the Town Office to cast votes
And the results are:
Candidates:
- Lester Branson – received 205 votes and was elected to serve a 5 - year term**
- Angel Perez Otero – received 149 votes
- 1 No vote

**Lester Branson was re-elected into office and will be sworn in and begin serving a 5-year term at the first Council meeting in January 2025. In January, the Council will also appoint one of its members to serve as the Mayor for 2025.

Next years Election is scheduled for Nov. 4, 2025. Advertising for Candidate’s and voter requirements for the next election will begin in Sept. 2025.
