Gay Street Closed June 3rd

**NOTICE**
Gay Street will be closed Wednesday, June 3, 2026, between 2nd and 1st Streets for a water lateral replacement. All traffic will detour on 2nd to Market and through 1st Street, which 2-way traffic will be temporarily allowed. The closure and detour will begin at 9:00 AM and be in effect for approximately 8 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Denton Board of Supervisors of Elections (Alternate) Vacancy

(Posted 5/29/2026) The Town of Denton is currently seeking a qualified resident to serve as an Alternate on the Town’s Board of Supervisors of Elections.

The Town’s Board of Supervisors of Election consists of three members appointed by the Denton Town Council to serve a two-year term. Members of the Supervisors of Election shall be qualified voters of the Town and shall not hold or be candidates for any elective office during their terms of office.

An Alternate assists with the Town Elections held annually in November in the event one of the appointed members becomes unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.

Denton Board of Appeals (Alternate) Vacancy

 

The Board of Appeals consists of three individuals and one alternate who are appointed by the Denton Town Council to hear and decide appeals for special exceptions, variances, and alleged errors or determinations.

Applicant must be a resident of the Town of Denton and be able to attend meetings the second Monday of the month as needed.
