  Members of the Denton Police Dept. were presented with a proclamation for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.  This day is observed each January 9th. Thank you to all of our police officers and police staff, you do an amazing job and serve the residents of Denton well.

  At the January 8, 2026 Town Council meeting, Mayor McNinch swore in PFC. Toby Hafer to serve with the Denton Police Dept.

  Sgt. Jerry Stivers of the Denton Police Dept. received the 2025 Outstanding Service Award. This award comes from the Denton Town Staff of all departments. He was chosen for his outstanding service to the community.

  At the January 8, 2026 Town Council meeting, Councilman Lester Branson presented Chief George Bacorn of the Denton Police Dept. with a 35 years of service award.
