At the January 2, 2025 Town Council Meeting, Dr. Lester Branson was sworn in as a Town Councilman by Ms. Karen Monteith, Clerk-Treasurer.  He received 205 votes during the November 2024 election and will serve an additional 5-year term. Congratulations Councilman Branson!

At the January 2, 2025 Denton Town Council Meeting, Chief George Bacorn received a proclamation on behalf of the Denton Police Officers for National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on January 9th. He was presented the proclamation by Councilman Keith Johnson.

During the January 2, 2025, Town Council meeting, two Police Officers were sworn in. Officer Ben Mitzel is returning to the Denton Police Department after resigning last year.  He was sworn in by the Town’s Clerk-Treasurer, Ms. Karen Monteith and accompanied by Chief George Bacorn.   Lieutenant Jeff Jackson is returning to the Denton Police

On December 14th Mayor McNinch presented Noah Bures with a Council Citation during his Eagle Scout ceremony held at St. Luke’s Methodist Church. The Mayor and Council are proud of Noah for this amazing accomplishment!

Mayor McNinch led the Pledge of Allegiance and spoke December 14th at the Wreaths Across America event held at the Denton Cemetery. The event was organized by Eagle Scout candidate Billy Quick. Serval people turned out to be a part of the ceremony and placed wreaths on the graves of veterans.

At the November 7, 2024 Town Council meeting, the Council read the proclamation into the record proclaiming November as Municipal Government Works Month in Denton. #MGWMONTH Each year the town participates by flying the MGWM flag, presenting a proclamation, visiting Denton Elementary school and teaching students about local government and how each department works, and

At their October 21, 2024 meeting, the Denton Town Council presented Elder Thomas Fisher and First Lady Vivian Fisher with a proclamation in recognition of the 100th anniversary of the Abrams Memorial Church, which was celebrated on October 19, 2024.  The Town is very proud of this achievement and congratulates the congregation on this significant
