The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is considering
potential improvements along MD 404 (Shore Highway) between MD 16 (Harmony Road) and
MD 16 (Greenwood Road) in Caroline County. A public open house was held in December,
and a second public open house will be held 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the
cafeteria of Denton Elementary School, 303 Sharp Road in Denton. You can view preliminary
concepts for the MD 404 corridor at the April public open house and on the Project Portal
page. Preliminary concept maps and a new survey will be posted online by the day of the
public open house. Concepts are based on traffic and safety data, as well as public feedback
