Below are road closures requested for special events in Denton. Check back often as closures will be added  periodically.

Use of the Community Demonstration Garden, please contact Denton Main Street at 410-924-2328.

If you would like to have a Special Event and need a portion of a street closed off, please fill out this NEW form and turn into the Denton Police Department at 100 N Third St. Denton, MD 21629. Organizations are required to carry general liability insurance for their event.

Special Events may be contingent on the Governor’s Office Executive Orders pertaining to event limitations during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please check the Maryland.gov website for details and the Governor’s most current orders.

Special Event forms must be turned in 45 days prior to your event. If your event is less than 45 days away, please contact the Denton Police Dept. first at 410-479-1414.

• March 14, 2020 – St. Pattys Day 5K – 7:30a.m.-12p.m. Fretterd Community Center to Denton Elem. School, use caution as walkers and runners will be in the area.
• January 20, 2020 – Martin Luther King Jr. March – 9a.m. march from Lockerman Middle School to County Courthouse. (street temporarily closed for walkers)
