Dear Parade Participant:
Thank you for being a part of this year's Denton Holiday Parade. We would like to confirm your participation and aid you in locating your lineup for this year's event. Please note that a final confirmation letter like this that includes a lineup map has been mailed to you. In case it does not arrive promptly, we have included the letter on our town website along with the lineup map and list of who is in the parade and where they are lining up.
Please review this information before calling the office. If you have additional questions, please contact us at the number an email mentioned below.
In the below links you will find directions and a map. This will provide you with specific access details. Please follow the enclosed map to enter your assigned parade access area only. Plan to be onsite between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The parade steps-off at 6:00 p.m. Please make sure everyone in your group is ready to go at that time. Including all band uniforms on and instruments ready.
Groups with small children or large groups of people are encouraged to share lineup maps and information. Please carpool together when dropping off children or groups, this will help reduce traffic and confusion during lineup.
For the safety of all participants, please follow all directions given by parade staff during lineup. Lineup numbering is subject to change without notice so make sure you check in at your entry point with a staff member. *If you have been assigned to the Commercial Vehicle section (CV or CV PW), please note where you line up on the map THIS HAS CHANGE THIS YEAR. We have relocated the CV line up to 4th Street (instead of 5th Ave.) to reduce traffic on 5th Ave. Check in with staff at 5th and Kerr Ave. for directions to your line up area.

The Denton Holiday Parade Committee is hard at work planning for this year’s event. We look forward to receiving your registration and working with you this year as we present our annual Parade.
This year’s event is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2024, 6p.m. There is no rain date for this event.
The Holiday Parade will be followed by The Lighting of the Green at the Caroline County Courthouse.
