Dear Denton Residents and Businesses,
I sincerely apologize for the significant inconvenience many experienced yesterday, in and around Franklin Street, while street paving was taking place. Please know that there was a traffic control plan that was not followed by our contractor. We take your safety very seriously and are implementing measures to ensure what happened yesterday doesn’t happen again.
The good news is the paving will be completed today and the road striping will be completed tomorrow. Residents and business owners along Franklin Street now have new pavement and larger water lines. We have a few more valves to install at 6th & Gay Streets then the project will be complete. We truly appreciate all who have been patient with us throughout this long project.
