Delmarva Power Customer Relief Fund
Did you know Caroline County Residents who have Delmarva Power as their electric company may be eligible for a one-time grant of $500 for their past due electric bill?
- Must have a current residential account with Delmarva Power
- Have electric bills that are 60 days past due.
- Past due balance of at least $250.
- Low to moderate income.
The way the program works is that the Department of Social Services processes the application on behalf of Delmarva Power, and The Salvation Army, and sends the applications to Mary Justice, the processor at Salvation Army.
- If a customer has received Energy Assistance, they only need to complete the one-page attachment and provide Social Services with a copy of their most recent Delmarva Power bill and ID.
- If, however, that person was denied Energy Assistance, or has not applied and will not apply for Energy Assistance, then they would need to complete the entire 4-page application and provide Social Services with the household's income for the past 30 days as well as a copy of their most recent Delmarva Power bill and ID.
Residents can apply through the Caroline County Department of Social Services. Call 410-819-4500 or 410-819-4486. The program will run July 18th until designated funds are depleted.
