During their September 7th meeting, the Denton Town Council read a proclamation recognizing September as Caroline Goes Purple month.
The Denton Town Council wishes to recognize September as Caroline Goes Purple Month
This month-long campaign serves as a public awareness tool to teach the public
about the opioid epidemic in our country and what families can do to prevent it.
The Town Council wishes to recognize the efforts of Drug-Free Caroline,
the Caroline County Government, local law enforcement agencies,
and the Caroline County Public Schools for their efforts to educate the public.
On behalf of the Denton Town Council we direct this proclamation
be presented this 7th day of September 2023.
During their September 7th meeting, the Denton Town Council presented Cpl. McMullen for outstanding community service.
On August 14, 2023, a pregnant couple from Alabama took refuge at The Gardens pavilion during a heat wave and then a storm later in the day.Â
The couple attempted to return home after a short stay,
but needed assistance getting to an Easton hotel.Â
With help from His Hope Ministries, an Uber was reserved
to take them to Easton; however the couple needed more funds.Â
Cpl. McMullen paid for the Uber ride out of his own pocket
to make sure the couple was able to get to Easton safely.Â
As a result of this selfless act, Cpl. McMullen was able to quickly
resolve the situation for the stranded couple.Â
The Denton Town Council wishes to thank you for your generosity and care for those in our community and for going above and beyond to assist people in need.
At their September 7th meeting, the Denton Town Council recognized Karen Monteith for her outstanding leadership during this year's Summerfest.
