ABSENTEE BALLOTS REQUEST FOR
DENTON TOWN ELECTION
Any Denton Town Resident, otherwise qualified to vote in Town, desiring to vote in the Town Election being held on November 7, 2023, as an Absentee Voter shall make application in writing to the Town Clerk requesting an Absentee Ballot as per the Denton Town Code:
Chapter 10 – Elections, Article I - Absentee Voting
Applications to request an absentee ballot must be sent to the Town Clerk for receipt on or before:
October 20, 2023, if by mail
November 3, 2023, if delivered in person
Absentee Ballot Applications are available on the Town’s website at www.dentonmaryland.com or at the Town office located at 4 N. Second St. All requests must be submitted in writing and include the voter’s name, residence address, signature of the voter, and the address to which the ballot is to be mailed, if different from the residence address.
Once the Application for an Absentee Ballot is approved, the ballot and instructions will be mailed to the application two weeks prior to the election or hand-delivered to the qualified voter if the application is presented in person to the Town Clerk between October 20, 2023, and November 3, 2023.
All absentee ballots must be returned to the Denton Town Office, Attn: Supervisors of Elections, 4 North Second Street, Denton, Maryland 21629, before the closing of the polls (8:00p.m., Tuesday, November 7, 2023). Instructions must be followed in order to be considered valid.
