Volunteer Opportunities for Board and Commission Committees
The Town of Denton has numerous boards and commissions that offer residents direct avenues for participation in local governance. If you’re interested in volunteering on any of these boards or commissions, please complete our Volunteer Form for consideration. Resident volunteers play a vital role in shaping the Town’s future.
Denton Planning Commission Vacancy
The Planning Commission is a permanent working group made up of five individuals and one alternate who are appointed by the Town Council to review and act on matters related to planning and development of our Town.
The Planning Commission recommends goals and policies to the Town Council for directing and managing future growth and development. In addition, the Planning Commission reviews site plan and subdivision applications.
Applicant must be a resident of the Town of Denton and be able to attend regularly scheduled monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of the month and workshops as needed on the second Tuesday of the month.
