Water and Wastewater Operations Manager
The Town of Denton is accepting applications for a Water and Wastewater Operations Manager.
Min. starting salary - $37.53 per hr.
Min. qualification - Associates Degree in Water and Wastewater Management or closely related subject and three years of experience in either Water Treatment and/or Wastewater Management; with at least one year having been in a supervisory capacity with successful completion of training related to “Elements of Supervision” and “Goal Setting for and Evaluation of Performance by Personnel”; with at least 2 years as a Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator.
OR
Graduation from a recognized high school with at least one course in general chemistry, and successful completion of training related to “Elements of Supervision” and “Goal Setting for and Performance Evaluation of Personnel” and five years of experience in Water and/or Wastewater Treatment; which must include two years in a lead or supervisory position.
Requirements – Maryland Water Treatment Superintendent’s License, Class I (or higher), Maryland Wastewater Treatment Superintendent’s License, Class 5A, Maryland Water Operator, Class I (or higher), Maryland Wastewater Operator, Class 5A, Maryland Class “C” Driver’s License
Applicants with appropriate experience and equivalent licenses from another state will be considered for appointment but will be required to obtain a Statement of Reciprocity from the Maryland State Board.
Applicants must be able to pass pre-hire drug/alcohol tests and preliminary background check. Position is subject to random testing.
