SALE OF SURPLUS TOWN PROPERTY
INVITATION TO BIDDERS
PURCHASE OF A SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN DENTON
Under the authority of Chapter 23, Purchasing Manual, Salvage & Surplus Material Policy, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Denton, Maryland, the Town issues an invitation to bid on the following Town owned property and all improvements, buildings, thereon:

The Property is sold as is, with the requirement that a demolition permit is obtained prior to closing and the existing building is demolished within (6) months of purchase. The minimum bid for the property is $20,000. The sealed bid is to be submitted to the Town of Denton. Bidders must submit satisfactory evidence of financing or availability of funds in the case of cash purchase, a $2500 earnest money deposit in the form of a certified or cashier’s check, and a signed copy of the contract of sale with their bid. Closing shall be on or before December 30, 2020. If closing does not occur on or before December 30, 2020 through no fault of the Town, the deposit shall be forfeited to the Town and the property shall be rebid at the sole cost, expense, and risk of the successful bidder.

SEALED BIDS shall be accepted at the Denton Town Office, 4 N Second Street, Denton, MD, 21629, until 2:00 PM on November 2nd, 2020. Bids will be then opened and read aloud at 2:10 PM.
The Town of Denton reserves the right, without qualification, to reject any or all bids, or any portions thereof, when in their reasoned judgement the general public will be better served thereby.
